1.        The development of comprehensive prevention programmes

The project aims at strengthening the health potential of working people through the development of 8 comprehensive preventive programmes in the field of hearing protection, skin diseases, allergic diseases, infectious or parasitic diseases, diseases of the musculoskeletal system and the peripheral nervous system, cardiovascular diseases and psychosocial risks.

2.        Vocational training for nurses and midwives in the bridging studies

The project aims at improving the professional skills of nurses and midwives in the bridging studies. Bridging studies is a form of education aimed at supplementing the professional skills of nurses and midwives who are the graduates of five-year secondary medical schools, two-year, two and a half-year and three-year medical vocational schools to the level as set out in the provisions of the Community law - a bachelor's degree.

3.        Education within the specialisation of deficit physicians, i.e. oncologists, cardiologists, occupational medicine physicians

The project aims at supporting specialist education of physicians in cardiology, oncology and occupational medicine, which will translate into an increase in the number of specialists, access to healthcare services and an improvement of the state of health of working people.

4.        Support for the accreditation process of healthcare institutions

The project aims at improving the quality of management in healthcare through the support of the accreditation process and causing an increase in the number of accredited hospitals. Under the project, 188 healthcare institutions will receive an accreditation certificate.

5.        Support for the medical - emergency system through the vocational training of physicians, paramedics and medical dispatchers

The project aims at supporting the specialised training of physicians in emergency medicine through organising and co-funding compulsory specialised courses and supporting the vocational training of paramedics and medical dispatchers through organising and co-funding compulsory extension courses. Extension courses for paramedics and dispatchers are a form of training, the completion of which facilitates the updating of knowledge and skills in emergency medicine and the managing of medical emergencies, in particular the skills necessary to provide competent first aid.

6.        Professional nursing in the medical - emergency system in Poland - support for postgraduate education

7.        Modern management in healthcare institutions - training in cost accounting and management information and restructuring and consolidation tools of healthcare institutions

The project aims at improving the quality of management in healthcare through the improvement in the competence of employees, in particular the managerial staff of healthcare institutions and the employees of founding bodies, by providing knowledge and skills in the use of modern management methods of healthcare sector institutions in Poland.

8.        "The development and implementation of a prevention programme in the early detection of genitourinary cancer in working men aged 45 or more (45+) oriented at preventing their occupational deactivation (in particular persons exercising professions as to which there is a higher probability of exposure to genitourinary cancer)"

The project aims at:

§      Deepening knowledge and a positive change in the behaviour of men in the prevention of genitourinary cancer.

§      Deepening knowledge among family physicians, occupational physicians and urologists regarding genitourinary diseases (in particular the impact of occupational factors on the level of incidence).

9.        The NHF Academy

This project aims at improving the quality of management in the healthcare system through improving the information policy pursued by the public payer in respect of healthcare providers (entities carrying out medical activities on the basis of the contract with the NHF) and in respect of beneficiaries (patients) through undertaking educational and informative measures.
