The benefits from the implementation of Measure 2.3 of the HCOP for patients

The effect of the intervention of Measure 2.3 of the Human Capital Operational Programme is primarily the improvement in the state of health of the working-age population through the development of preventive programmes and programmes oriented at returning to work of people with diagnosed occupational diseases, the increase in health safety of society due to the systematic improvement in skills and qualifications of medical staff at various levels, and a significant improvement of the quality of the services provided in healthcare institutions, including through the increase in the number of hospitals with accreditation certificates.

 

 

The projects implemented under Measure 2.3 of the HCOP will help to achieve the following results:

1.   The development of 10 comprehensive preventive programmes and programmes supporting return to work for particular employee/occupational groups.

2.    An increase in the number of oncologists by 100%, the number of cardiologists by 50%, and the number of occupational physicians by 35%, who have completed their specialisations.

3.    An increase in the number of nurses and midwives by 200% (from 12 000 to 36 000) who have completed bridging studies under the HCOP.

4.     An increase in the proportion of healthcare units by 300% (from 8% to 32%) which have been accredited, in the total number of healthcare units.

5.     The training of 1500 representatives of managerial staff and authorising officers of public funds in the healthcare sector in the appropriate training in the field of management.
